There, I said it. I also believe in the roller coaster that leads up to the moment when two people decide to live together as one, sharing hopes and dreams, successes and failures. My own dream is to craft contemporary and historical romances with humor and heart.
During the day, I save the world by working as a youth librarian (and, yes, it is a lot of fun and, no, libraries are not dead). I enjoy long walks on the beach, but I rarely experience them since I grew up in western Nebraska and live in the suburbs of Chicago.
I am an active member of the Romance Writers of America and was the 2013 president of the Chicago-North chapter. I was a finalist in the 2011 Molly Contest sponsored by the Heart of Denver Romance Writers, the 2013 CTRWA The Write Stuff Contest and the 2013 Cleveland Rocks Contest. I’m also cofounder of Land of Lost Books, a blog that shines a spotlight on books that deserve extra attention.
The loves of my life include one techno-geek husband, one adorable baby through adoption, and one fetch-obsessed yellow Labrador. I’m a lucky, lucky girl.
On this blog I’ll share tidbits about life, writing, and books I’ve enjoyed.
